Frequently Asked Questions.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. You may notice your invitation says 3:30 PM; that’s intentional! We kindly ask guests to arrive by 3:30 to ensure everyone is seated and ready before we begin.

Come early, enjoy a drink, and take in the ocean view before the festivities start!

Is there a dress code?

The dress code is formal.
For women: Floor-length gowns, Tea-length dresses, dressy jumpsuits
For men: A suit is requested; tuxedos are also welcomed.

The ceremony will take place on grass, so we recommend choosing comfortable footwear for walking on the lawn. We also suggest bringing a light layer to stay cozy in case of a coastal breeze in the evening.

What are my parking options?

On-site parking is available in the metered lot adjacent to Ole Hanson Beach Club for $1.50 per hour, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. Complimentary street parking can also be found within walking distance in nearby residential areas, including Calle Las Bolas, Calle Sacramento, and Avenida Hacienda. These areas offer unmetered and overnight parking.

What’s the drink situation?

Enjoy drinks on us! We'll have a full open bar for the celebration.

This is a safe space to ask the most important question: What’s on the menu? And if you’re only here for the food, we get it.

During cocktail hour, guests will enjoy a selection of passed hors d'oeuvres, including steak tartare, vegetable skewers, and Coq au Vin. Following that, a delicious Mediterranean dinner will be provided by 24 Carrots Catering, featuring salmon, lamb, tabouli, basmati rice, grilled vegetables, and more.

Why is the invitation on a website?

We’re keeping things digital because, let’s be real, invites either collect dust on the fridge, disappear into a drawer, or end up in the trash. Plus, I (Breana) have about 437 running thoughts at any given time, and that would’ve made for a lot of paper. This site is a one-stop spot you can reference for directions on the big day, reference after the wedding for photos, and best of all, there’s no need to go to the post office to mail in RSVPs!

Also… I selfishly wanted an excuse to use a corny jingle somewhere, and breanaandfreddysayido.com was just too fun not to use!

Why choose a wedding fund instead of a traditional registry?

Freddy and I have been living together for a few years now, so when it came time to put together a traditional registry, we were totally stumped. With a move back to California on the horizon and most of our household needs already met, the idea of accumulating more stuff, especially fragile or expensive items, we’d have to pack up, just didn’t make sense. Truthfully, we’re feeling a bit of consumer fatigue. At one point, the only thing we seriously considered adding was a $6,000 La Marzocco espresso machine, which pretty much sums up our priorities!

What we really want to collect are memories. Our biggest dream is to travel, exploring the world, immersing ourselves in new cultures, and sharing unforgettable experiences. That’s why, instead of a traditional registry, we’ve created a wedding fund focused on adventures, not appliances.

Honeymoon dream destination: TBD (somewhere in Southeast Asia)
